China VS Taiwan, Military Power

China VS Taiwan, Military Power

Taiwan is completely outgunned by China in terms of military power in practically every area, including tanks, artillery, and aircraft.

It does, however, have a larger military reserve force that has been trained in case China launches a full-scale invasion. Since the 1950s, an invasion of Taiwan has been a real possibility, and the island nation has created a "porcupine strategy" to protect itself.

To stop a marine invasion force, fast-attack assault boats, anti-ship, anti-air, and anti-tank missiles, and sea mines are used. Taiwan has prepared for guerilla warfare in both its urban areas and its mountainous rural areas if China can launch an invasion force. With a $230 billion military budget, China is second on the globe, far outspending any other country in the Pacific.

According to most estimations, it has the greatest military fleet in terms of the number of ships. China has only established one foreign military post to date, in Djibouti, but it has increased its influence by building military installations in the disputed Spratly Islands.

Despite recent expansion outside of it, China's naval dominance is still largely restricted to the so-called "first-island chain", which extends from Malaysia to Japan. Through trade and infrastructure initiatives, China has tried to strengthen ties and increase its influence with its neighbours recently.

The US Department of Defence claims that China is looking to expand its military presence abroad and "has undoubtedly contemplated" establishing facilities in other close-by nations like Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.

Number of people available for army Now, the question arises: if there is a war between the two countries, how many people will be able to join the army? Out of the total manpower of China, more than 619.2 million people can join the military service.
